Ball Watch Company Engineer II Volcano NM3060C-PCJ-GY
Committed to improving the reliability of its movements, Ball Watches decided to surpass all antimagnetic standards in watchmaking and create a watch that incorporated an antimagnetic diaphragm made of mumetal. Initially inspired by the relationship between volcanoes and magnetic fields, Ball watches designed the case band of the Engineer II Volcano watch to include superimposed layers of carbon and mumetal, a combination of materials never used before in watch making. This impressive arrangement allows for an enhanced antimagnetic protection so the movement and its accuracy is not affected.
The Ball Company Engineer II Volcano watch boasts a striking 45mm black carbon case that has been textured with a look reminiscent of lava that has cooled to form volcanic rock, giving the timepiece a sporty and contemporary finish. Housed beneath the sapphire crystal glass with antireflective treatment is a slate grey dial with subtle touches of red to mimic the lava of a volcano and indexes and hour hands set with luminous gas for optimal visibility even in the dark. The COSC certified timepiece is completed by two strap options, a black canvas option and a black rubber strap option both fastened by a standard buckle.
