Art In Bronze Boxing Hare Figurine, AIB-063
The Hare is a common symbol associated with the British and European countryside. It is particularly famous for its “boxing” which occurs during the springtime and is probably the inspiration for the phrase “as mad as a March Hare”. The Hare features in folklore and stories, perhaps most famously in Aesop’s fable “The Tortoise and the Hare” as well as Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.
This miniature sculpture perfectly captures a hare boxing. This piece would make a great starting point for a collection or as an addition to an existing collection.
The Butler and Peach sculpture collection is comprised of miniature bronzes by some of Britain’s best artists. The range covers wonderful figurative works of art based on wildlife and the natural world.
