As part of their legendary 9S movement series, the Calibre 9S86 boasts an in-house construction which combines hairspring technology and an escapement developed through the MEMS technology to provide an unbeatable accuracy of +10 to -1 seconds per day and an impressive 3-day power reserve. It’s addition of a dual-time display function is intuitively obvious for its bright blue colour, a complication perfect for avid world travellers.
While contemporary on the inside, this Grand Seiko Mechanical GMT watch adopts an aesthetic popular with Grand Seiko watches from the past. Zaratsu polished lugs are fitted to a 39.5mm stainless steel case which contours effortlessly to the wrist thanks to the luxurious brown crocodile leather strap and matching stainless steel threefold clasp with push button release. At its centre, the Grand Seiko GMT watch is complemented by a deep ivory dial adored with sleek sword-shaped hour and minute hands, a central seconds hand, blue GMT hand and a date window at 3 o’clock. Around its edge, the dial is detailed with matching applied indexes and a 24 hour scale for reading a second time zone. To ensure lasting scratch resistance and optimal legibility, the dial of the Grand Seiko Elegance Mechanical GMT watch is housed beneath box-shaped sapphire crystal glass.
